This painting was inspired by Hammershoi. His interiors are luminous; both complex and amazingly simple. Beautiful. So I painted a corner of my room, also as a sort of self-portrait.

Michelle, you have some strong pieces here. Great composition on the stairway chair piece--my eye is drawn down & around and back up again. The kitchen painting is a portrait without the person and cool choice of subject matter on the sidewalk/basement window painting, a kind of less is more theme. Really fun to see you progress!
